Exhibition at Londonderry Public Library
Some works from my summer 2024 floral series were on display at the Londonderry branch of the Edmonton Public Library from December 2024 to February 28 2025. Many of the flowers featured, particularly the peonies, were grown just across 137 Avenue in Delwood, where my parents live. I am very grateful for the opportunity and the positive comments from staff and the public.
Biography
I observe plants around me and record their vitality through line, colour & composition. I feel an energy from plants and try to convey that energy.
I am a plant portraitist and seek to record the unique life force and energy of each subject. Favorite subjects are cherry and crabapple blossoms and fruit, peonies, roses and rose hips, sweet peas, and nasturtiums from my garden.
